We are currently executing an aggressive expansion and growth strategy to further grow our cybersecurity practice across North Carolina. We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Solutions Advocate with experience in technology sales and cybersecurity solutions business development to support our client-based and revenue expansion objectives.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- This role is responsible for expanding MCNC’s cybersecurity product and services market share within North Carolina
- Responsible for strategically prospecting target accounts (new and existing) and customers to identify relevant business challenges, opportunities, and expected results
- In partnership with MCNC Cybersecurity team members, create a compelling solution to the prospective customer's unique business and cybersecurity challenge(s)
- Demonstrate the value of MCNC products and services to prepare and protect clients from emerging cyber threats through the continuous availability of solutions rooted in alignment, quality, and satisfaction, by gaining the trust of prospective clients and motivating them to engage with MCNC
- Understand trends and issues affecting clients in assigned market(s)
- Have an understanding of MCNC products and solutions and how they help organizations overcome their cybersecurity and privacy challenges
- Build strong relationships to drive customer adoption of MCNC’s cybersecurity services and meet department and company service adoption goals
- Act as both an independent contributor and team player in executing plans that lead to greater market acceptance and adoption
- Act as a creative problem solver with the ability to bring others along with critical decisions, strategies, and tactics both internally and externally
Qualifications
- Ability to build relationships with clients in the MCNC community, understand their challenges and needs, match client needs with MCNC solutions, and close opportunities to deliver MCNC solutions in our community
- At least 5 years of experience selling technical services or solutions, or serving in a pre-sales capacity to support sales activity
- Successful experience selling cybersecurity services or solutions
- Experience selling directly and indirectly to organizations in the MCNC community, such as K-20 education, healthcare, state and local government agencies, and community and cultural institutions.
- Experience responding to RFPs
- Experience selling contracts with a total value of $100K+
- Understanding and experience with CRM software
- This role will be required to adhere to the MCNC Substance Abuse policy, which may include drug/alcohol screening at hire and periodically or randomly during employment.
- Annual background and sex offender checks will be performed for pre-employment and throughout your time with the company due to the need to visit K-12 school properties.
- Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to drive a company vehicle on company business travel to MCNC client locations or to represent MCNC at events in and out-of-state. Pre-employment and annual MVR checks will be required during your employment with the company for this position in order to be approved to drive a company-owned vehicle
