The Pearson Digital and Technology division is looking for a Manager of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead our Higher Education SRE group. The position is based in Raleigh/Durham, NC and leads an existing team of engineers tasked with migrating applications from legacy DataCenter to AWS cloud. In addition to Cloud Migration activies the team is responsible for the security, cloud spend, scalability, and reliability of the applications they support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Building and running high-performance SRE teams
Leading customer-facing systems in a high uptime 24/7 environment
Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.
Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.
Own the incident management infrastructure, playbooks, training, incident reports and internal communication
Manage on-call rotation, practices and training for all the on-call teams
