he CMDB Product Owner is accountable and responsible for defining and managing the data models and product roadmap for the CMDB within the ServiceNow platform and ensuring integration with Service Management, Operations, and Business processes such as Incident, Change and Release Management, Cybersecurity, and Finance. The successful candidate will have industry experience and proven expertise in CMDB leadership and current ServiceNow CSDM standards. in defining, documenting, and leading Asset & Configuration processes for both hardware and software. This role will also be responsible for leading and directing CMDB and Discovery administration resources.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and lead global strategy for IT Asset Management and Configuration Management programs, processes, standards, and technologies
Lead and advise CMDB and Discovery administration resources
Ensure CMDB follows current and future best practices, aligns to CSDM, and keeps customization to a minimum
Implement and monitor processes to ensure accuracy of hardware, software, and configuration items
Collaborate with other Service Management process owners to ensure effective touch points with ITSM processes such as Incident, Request, and Change Management as well as other business units such as Security, Operations, and Finance
Responsible day-to-day operations of ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB integrations, and Service Mapping
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining overall health of the CMDB
Accountable for ongoing data certification of CMDB CIs and Services
Qualifications:
Proven experience in CMDB ownership with a deep understanding of CSDM
Ability to influence across organizational levels, particularly senior management.
Specialized knowledge of defining, documenting, and implementing Asset Management and Configuration Management processes for both hardware and software CIs
Experience with IT Service Management toolsets (e.g. ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM)
